Spring 2015

Finally, spring has hit the East Coast! After shooting the media days at New York International Auto Show, I jump-started the great weather by spending two weeks in Long Beach this past April. The first weekend was spent shooting the Formula Drift season opener on turns 9, 10, and 11 of the Toyota Long Beach Grand Prix course. Fredric Aasbø took the podium – full write up and gallery is over on TheGarageBlog.com, and I have also updated my portfolio with a few new images from Formula D.

The week was an eventful week with a visit to Mazda R&D in Irvine for an exclusive look at their garage full of Miata concepts and past race cars. That gallery will be up soon on a new-to-me-outlet. Then on to the Red Bull Global Rallycross pre-season press event to hear the results of silly season, who is on what team, who is new, and see some of the new cars that will complete in 2015. It’s no secret that it’s my favorite series to shoot, with good reason – it’s a pretty exciting series. More information here on TheGarageBlog.
Then the weekend of the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach arrived, and I had a blast shooting there for three days. A few shots from the various races during the long weekend follow – a full gallery will come in the near future, keep your eyes here for the link.

Last but not least, I was excited to see the fruits of last year’s hard work shooting Red Bull Global Rallycross. NAPA Chassis licensed a shot of Tanner Foust, who they sponsor in GRC for their marketing materials. It’s always a thrill to see one of my photos being used – photos are meant to be seen!

In this vein, I’m open and available to work with teams and sponsors to capture dynamic images of their racing passions both on and off the track. My contact information is easily accessible at the top of this page, and I can be reached via email to talk about how we can work together to achieve great visual records for social media, marketing, and history.
